Trust Center

Tooleasing is built to make local tool rentals clearer, safer, and better documented than a general-purpose marketplace. This page explains how trust is created on the platform.

How Tooleasing builds trust

Trust does not come from one badge. It comes from clear rules, transparent payments, reviewed listings, documented handovers, and support that can review the full rental record.

Listings and moderation

New listings are reviewed before they go live. Owners are expected to provide clear photos, exact specs, pricing, availability, and pickup expectations. Listings can be rejected or sent back for changes if they are unclear, misleading, or unsafe.

Private and business suppliers

Tooleasing is built for both private owners and small businesses. Where relevant, the platform can distinguish between private and business suppliers so users understand who is offering the listing and which consumer-law protections may apply.

Payments and refundable deposits

Renters see the rental amount, Tooleasing service fee, and any refundable deposit before they pay. Listings estimated at EUR 100 or less can stay without a deposit, while higher-risk or higher-value listings can require one. Depending on the booking, the refundable deposit is either collected upfront or authorized separately before pickup. Tooleasing tracks payment status, supports refunds through the rental flow, and keeps pricing visible instead of relying on hidden charges.

Ranking and promoted listings

Browse results are ordered by relevance, category and filter match, availability, and listing quality by default. Paid placements may appear first when they still match the search, and they are visibly labeled as Promoted.

Pickup, condition reports, and return

Handovers are documented. Pickup includes a condition report with photos, and the handover is confirmed with a server-verified PIN. Returns can also be documented so damage or missing-accessory disputes can be reviewed against real evidence.

Issue review and disputes

If something goes wrong, renters and owners can use support or report an issue. Tooleasing can then review the rental record, payment state, condition reports, return information, and event history before making a decision.

Expectations for owners and renters

Owners are expected to describe tools accurately and hand them over in rental-ready condition. Renters are expected to use them responsibly, return them on time, and bring back the listed accessories. These expectations are also reflected in the terms and support flow.

Support and operational follow-through

Support requests, reports, and rental issues go into a managed inbox. That keeps problems from living only in informal chat and creates a central record with notes, status, and follow-up.

Tooleasing reviews reports and support requests manually. We aim to respond within 1 business day.
